Instagram flexing is nothing new. We’ve all seen the bot accounts that follow us on the daily, commenting on our selfies “want hundreds of followers???”. It’s dead to say the least, but we’re sure there are a few of you out there that have paid to boost your likes and follower numbers…
Up till this point the whole sordid process has been kept within in an online realm – no one can see you pretending to be popular. Now, Russia has taken the whole thing one step further.
Journalist/Twitter user Alexey Kovalev recently spotted a vending machine in the former Soviet country that will add fake likes to your pictures.
But who would actually use their hard earned money to buy something as trivial as likes? Well as it turns out, the whole situation is very affordable. 50 rubles (about 68p) will buy you one hundred likes. Well sh-t den, we’re putting a tenner in.
