Instagram has announced that their feed will now prioritise brand new content in a new update.
The news comes after users became outraged at the adoption of a different algorithm on their app, which tried to predict content you wanted to see, rather than the newest content.
The company said in a blog post, “With these changes, your feed will feel more fresh, and you won’t miss the moments you care about.”
The Facebook-owned company originally made the change in 2016 and claimed it was because users missed up to 70% of content on their Instagram feed.
Over the next few months, the company said it would announce more “improvements” to the feed.
