Apple are seriously upping their game with the upcoming iPhone 8 release.
Apple is dropping three new phones this year and rumour has it that the new phones will all be entirely made of glass and will all come with wireless charging capabilities.
The three phones are likely to following in the same format that the last two have had – one smaller size and a ‘plus’ – with the addition of a third size. As well as the usual 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models, a mid size 5-inch phone will also be available.
Rather than “long range” wireless charging, it’s likely that the phones will come with a separate accessory that will charge the phone on contact. These accessories have been available in place like Starbucks and McDonalds for a while now so it makes sense that Apple would start offering them as standard.
Wireless charging and phones made entirely of glass may sound pretty sick but both features are likely to make the phone susceptible to overheating, and from all those exploding Galaxy phones we’ve all learnt how dangerous an overheated phone is.
