The rapid-fire poet that is Isaiah Dreads is back with another banger. Blessing us with visuals for last Friday’s drop “My Way”, fans of Dreads can finally rest after waiting for new music for what has felt like forever.
“My Way” is Dreads at his best; spitting with poise and precision with a completely raw and unfiltered outpouring of emotion. Zdot provides a timeless soundscape, incorporating soulful percussion and piano chords to create a melancholy atmosphere.
The visuals courtesy of Jaidan are simple, yet effective. Interspersed with footage of studio sessions, fans of Dreads will be happy to see it appears new music is on the way. Overall, “My Way” is a worthy marker of Dread’s return to the game, and will wet the appetite of his fans for further drops.
