J. Cole and his Dreamville label have surprise dropped a brand-new project dubbed D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape.
As the title suggests, this tape is hosted by the legendary DJ Drama who hypes up the Dreamville gang with his lively intros and outros.
The project houses fifteen original tracks and allows each of the Dreamville acts to exhibit their unique styles on solo tracks, as well as collabs such as “Stick”, “Starting 5” and more.
As well as hearing from J. Cole and Dreamville’s Bas, Omen, Lute, Ari Lennox, JID, EARTHGANG and Cozz, we also receive guest features from the likes of 2 Chainz, A$AP Ferg and Reason, just to name a few.
D-Day is the fourth compilation project from Dreamville, following 2019’s Revenge of the Dreamers 3 which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards. This new tape arrives ahead of the 2022 Dreamville Festival, which takes place from April 2-3 in North Carolina.
