After recently wiping his Instagram, J.Cole has returned to the scene with his brand new single “Middle Child”. This is his first drop since releasing his fifth album KOD back in April of last year. The T-Minus produced track looks at what it’s like being caught in the middle of two generations of music.

Cole makes many references within the track mainly centred around the theme of competition, this includes mentioning Jay-Z, 21 Savage, Kodak Black and squashing any rumours surrounding beef with Drake. “Just put the Rollie right back on my wrist. This watch came from Drizzy, he gave me a gift. Back when the rap game was prayin’ I’d diss. They act like two legends cannot coexist,” he spits.

Cole is yet to comment if “Middle Child” will be the first single from Revenge Of The Dreamers or The Fall Off which Cole has been teasing recently.
