J Rick goes head to head with the clock for FACTmagazine to cook up a heavy beat.
Hitting the production takes some skill without time constraints, let alone when you’re working against a timer and on Against The Clock, J Rick has ten minutes to create a little riddim in the studio, with Logic as his weapon of choice.
To give you some idea of the levels he comes with, he produced the hit “Party Here” by Octavian and he has recently dropped a solo mixtape through Warner Records.
A great part about this video is seeing the process as the producer even goes into depth about his process and what he would have done if we had a little more time to play with. This craft takes times and skill to perfect and we can see that J Rick has definitely paid his dues.
