Fantastic Four aka Namesbliss, Melvillous, Jafro and Collistar rolled through the BBC 1Xtra studio to grace Sir Spyro with a classic and energetic grime set.
Lively inside, the energies transmitted makes it merely impossible for you to sit still whilst watching this set. A grime freestyle over Roddy Ricch’s “Die Young” instrumental is one thing we didn’t realize we needed until now.
Each jump on the mic showcases and embraces one another’s ability and the transitions between the guys remains impeccable. Wordplay plays a pivotal factor throughout the 20-minute set.
Spyro infuses the studio with the coldest of instrumentals, as per usual, with the beats per minute ranging based on who was on the mic. An undoubted reload sends the studio up in flames, as soon as Jafro, current Lord of the Mics contender, diffuses the maddest of bars.
This is not the first time the collaborative trio have come together, three out of the four featured on the set can be found on the “Style and Grace” Remix by Namesbliss. The record costarred Jafro, Melvillous and Grime pioneer President T and can be found here.
Filled with quick paced flows and endless exuberance, if you need a reason to remind yourself why grime is very much alive and as powerful as ever, you can watch the set above.
