James Blake is back with his brand new album Trying Times.
The record includes the previously released tracks “Death Of Love” and “I Had A Dream She Took My Hand,” both of which highlight the breadth of Blake’s creative expression and his unusually open emotional perspective.
Across Trying Times, Blake reflects on the delicate tension between connection and isolation in an increasingly unpredictable world, examining the fractures that shape modern life. As feelings of overload filter through its lyrics and sonic palette, the album ultimately finds itself suspended somewhere between cautious hope and quiet disquiet.
More recently, Blake joined forces with Dave on his widely praised album The Boy Who Played The Harp, and also collaborated with Ludwig Göransson to create “Séance,” a standout piece from the soundtrack to Sinners directed by Ryan Coogler.
