Jamii – a discovery platform for Black British businesses – has launched an insightful new short film.
Titled Legacy: Stories Of Black British Entrepreneurship, the mini documentary shines a light on Black creators and Black-owned brands; highlighting their journeys as well as their significance.
In the short film we hear from Moses Odong, Cherelle Brown, Roshanne Dorsett and more, with each individual informing us about their brand as well as their story.
“Summer 2020 was a springboard for getting talented black creators the recognition they’ve long deserved,” Jamii’s founder – Khalia Ismain – said. “Black makers were finally being credited, discovered and appreciated by wider audiences.
“This film is a celebration of those human stories – the growth, the challenges, what a black business really means to a family and a community.”
