As previously reported by GRM news, Jammer was honoured with a blue plaque a few weeks ago for his contribution to British culture.
A blue plaque is placed at any landmark or location with historical significance and Jammer’s childhood home was recognised and honoured for its cultural significance thanks to it being the original location and birth place of the Lord of the Mics platform.
At the time, Jammer said, “So Yesterday!! The London Borough of Waltham Forest presented me with a Plaque for the front of my mums house for the contribution to the Borough and to UK music by letting the basement be a space to record Lord of the Mics and create a platform for young youth from anywhere on the earth. I can believe it but I still can’t believe it #NeverGiveUp #StayPushing. Thank you Mum big my Dad aswell and the rest of the family”.
In this new behind the scenes film posted by The Voice Newspaper, we see Jammer and an intimate gathering of friends and family celebrate the placing of the plaque.
