An “adverse finding” has been found in a drug test taken by Jarrell Miller who is set to go head-to-head with Anthony Joshua in June.

Popular boxing promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the news by posting a message on Twitter.

“We have been informed by VADA [Voluntary Anti-Doping Association] that there has been an adverse finding in Jarrell Miller’s sample collected on March 20th 2019”, Hearn wrote.

“We are working with all relevant parties and will update with more details soon. AJ’S preparation continues for June 1st at MSG”.

Miller’s co-promoter Dmitry Salita has also confirmed the news and has said Jarrell Miller is still continuing to train.

The shocking news has now put the fight between Joshua and Miller in doubt.

Freddie Cunningham, AJ’s manager, has said they will “100% be looking at replacement options” if Miller’s drug test results prevent him from fighting in June.

The two boxers are due to face-off in New York’s Madison Square Garden venue on 1st June 2019.
