In quotes attributed to The Daily Star, the 46-year-old claimed he would make the One Direction singer the “biggest solo artist in the world”.
Jay Z added: “I would love to sign Harry.
“Harry doesn’t need any help with exposure, everybody in the world knows who he is but he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist.
“I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year”.
Even though Styles is currently signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label, Jay Z believes the moguls could work together on joint project.
“Simon is going to want to carry on working with him, of course but we could do a joint venture – we both have big qualities we can bring to the table.
“Harry can make more than enough money for everybody to get a piece of the pie,” he said.
The Brooklyn native has helped shape the careers of mega artists such as Rihanna and Kanye West and now manages some of the biggest sports starts in the world including Basketball player Kevin Durant.
Styles, 21, is currently working on solo material as One Direction are taking a sabbatical following their “final concert” in October last year.
