Jay Z is expanding his business empire once again with this latest venture.

Riding off the back of the seemingly neverending start-up/tech boom, Jigga has partnered San Francisco based venture capital firm Sherpa Capital. Despite only being established in 2013, Sherpa invested in Uber, Airbnb and office messaging server Slack back when they were starting out, so obviously they know who’s popping.

The new partnership will help Jay Z choose what start-up companies are best to invest in, the ‘venture capital fund’ basically just means, high risk with the potential for high return rate if all goes to plan. And since Hov is planning on investing at the ‘seed stage’ of a company, he could potentially get big payouts from his investments.

But Hov isn’t stepping out on his own, also linking with the company is his longterm business partner and Roc Nation president, Jay Brown. Looks like the Jays are taking over, boy.
