Jelani Blackman unveils his highly anticipated debut album, The Heart Of It, scheduled for release on November 10th, alongside single “When You Feel It”.
Produced by Danio Forni & Chris Andoh (known for Stormzy’s “Vossi Bop”), the single emerges as a pivotal track, embodying Blackman’s artistic range and essence. He also describes the album as a quest for truth and love amidst a world marked by greed and hypocrisy. Spanning 15 tracks, The Heart Of It boldly weaves personal and political reflections on race, love and life in 2023. Featuring collaborations with talents like Kojey Radical, Bob Vylan and Biig Piig, the album showcases his diverse influences through a blend of rap, vocals, live instrumentation and powerful beats.
