Jme has released a 10-date film screening which might signal the arrival of a new album.
Entitled JME-Grime MC, the screenings will take place at different locations across late March and early April. Little information is given about what the screening will entail but the description teases that the event will be album-related.
The description for the event reads, “Jme fans – and everyone else tbh – you’re not gonna want to let this pass you by. Grab your popcorn and settle in for this exclusive big screen experience, created from Jme’s eagerly awaited forthcoming new album. Wanna know more about just what that entails? Well get yourself a ticket then.”
JME-Grime MC will be screened in London, Glasgow, Warrington, Liverpool, Birmingham, Enfield and Bristol. Tickets are free and are available here via DICE FM.
GRM Daily recently predicted that a new project was soon to arrive after keen eyes picked up that JME changed his Twitter display picture after years of it being the artwork to his last album release. Read the original news post here.
This new upcoming album release comes after JME’s last studio album Integrity> which he dropped in May of 2015. The album became his first project to reach the chart top 40 and it peaked at number 12 on the UK Albums Chart. Integrity> housed the tracks “Man Don’t Care” featuring Giggs, “96 Fuckries” and “Don’t @ Me” featuring Skepta, Frisco and Shorty.
Despite not releasing an album since 2015, JME has kept fans happy with several releases and guest appearances on tracks with some of your favourite artists. Most recently, Jme offered a verse on the remix to Splurgeboys’ track, “In the Family” alongside LD and Fekky.
As we wait for more news on JME’s new album, listen to the “In the Family” remix here.
