Nigerian singer Joeboy has blessed us with the video for his single, “Sip (Alcohol)”.
Teaming up with producer Tempoe, Joeboy gifts us with a vibrant afropop joint on “Sip” and uses his vocals to speak on the feelings alcohol brings. For the visuals Joeboy turns to Dammy Twitch who follows the artist as he attempts to escape his demons and leave them in the past.
The visuals for “Sip” come half a year after Joeboy dropped his first ever album, Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic, which indirectly inspired the release of this new single.
“After the release of my debut album Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic, I disconnected from the world and focused on things that mattered to me that I had taken for granted in the year and a half I was recording,” Joeboy said.
“In the midst of the peace and quiet I desperately craved, I was finding myself reflecting and looking forward to the next stage of my career. While indulging and sometimes over indulging in certain vices that have kept my mind at ease.”
