The official trailer for the new racially-charged film Detroit has hit the net, featuring The Force Awakens star John Boyega.
Boyega takes centre stage as a main actor in Kathryn Bigelow’s latest film about the Michigan riots in the summer of 1967. The trailer shows real footage of the events, with Boyega stating, “I’ll sleep when they stop rioting.”
The screenplay, written by Mark Boal whose previous works include The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, also stars Will Poulter – who played alongside Leonardo Dicaprio in The Revenant – and Game of Thrones actor Hannah Murray.
