John Boyega set to star in new thriller ‘The Test’

The movie will be an adaptation of The Test by award-winning author Sylvain Neuvel, a story that follows an immigrant who takes a citizen evaluation test and a young behavioural psychologist who oversees the test. The pair have to team up when a far-right terrorist group attacks the test.

Boyega will star as the psychologist and Payman Maadi as the immigrant. X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s Gavin Hood will direct the film.

There isn’t much known about the upcoming film yet, but director Gavin Hood said the film is “a heart-pounding psychological thriller, set in an authoritarian near-future that grabbed me by the throat and left me reeling”.
