Actor Joivan Wade has released a new short film called Amani which tackles the pressing issue of knife crime.
Along with his Wall Of Comedy partner and co-star Percelle Ascot, Joivan Wade produced the short film which tells the real-life story of Amani Simpson who was a victim of knife crime and later used his experiences to go into social enterprise with the aim of helping young people make positive choices away from crime.
The short film details Amani’s teen experiences and later his assault, his near-death experience and later struggles with religion.
Amani is the latest collaborative project from Joivan Wave and Percelle Scott following Deep It, RWD and their appearance in Rapman’s infamous saga Shiro’s Story.
