Wrapping up the year with an emotive speech is Croydon’s very own Jords.
2020 has been a year like no other for all of us and this Christmas, Jords has provided us with a spoken word piece about the past 12 months which we can all relate to.
With coronavirus dominating the majority of the year, Jords acknowledges the pandemic several times in his speech; speaking on his mum’s battle with the virus while also paying tribute to the NHS.
We also hear Jords speak on a number of other talking points 2020 has presented such as Zoom calls, Black Lives Matter, Marcus Rashford’s campaigning and more.
All in all, the speech is centred around change, with Jords urging all of us “to do all we can before we leave” right at the end.
