Jorja Smith joined Robert Bruce on Capital Xtra to tell him all about her journey so far.
The Walsall-born singer tells Robert how she misses home after living in London for four years as she defiantly misses the space and fields. Jorja’s also reflects on the success of her huge single single “Blue Lights”, describing the moment she began to recognise the song’s popularity when she went to get her nails done in London for the first time with a friend after uploading the song on Soundcloud.
As well as talking on the changes to her career, she also looks back on the creation of “On My Mind” and her days singing classical music at school. The songstress also describes some of her personal highlights such as performing on Jools Holland at the Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury and going to Japan.
