Jorja Smith has given the visual treatment to her recent single, “Rose Rouge”.
Taken from the upcoming Blue Note Re:imagined album which will contain several covers and reworks of classic jazz tracks, “Rose Rouge” sees Jorja Smith put a modern spin on St Germain’s soulful 2000 song. The visuals allow Jorja Smith to show solidarity for the Black Lives Matter Movement and include scenes from the recent protests against racism, injustice and inequality.
From Jorja’s smooth vocals to the heavy use of instrumentation, “Rose Rouge” is a refreshing piece of music which gives us a taste of what to expect on the Bluenote album when it drops in September.
