A second trailer has been released for the upcoming movie, Judas & The Black Messiah.
Due for release in the U.S. next month (February 12), Judas & The Black Messiah is a biographical drama centred on the life of American activist and Black Panther member, Fred Hampton, who’s played by the UK’s very own Daniel Kaluuya.
Daniel’s fellow Get Out co-star, Lakeith Stanfield, plays FBI informant William O’Neal, who served as a bodyguard for Hamptom while providing information on the Black Panther Party to federal officials.
“It wasn’t easy on the heart, if I’m being honest,” Kaluuya said when speaking to Entertainment weekly about taking the role. “There were days that you just felt… low with the weight of the reality. To be channeling those ideas, that time and that dynamic, it lay heavy on the cast.”
Also joining Kaluuya and Stanfield in the insightful film are the the likes of Lil Rel Howery, Jesse Plemons, Dominique Fishback, Martin Sheen and more.
