Kairo’s journey began in his early teens, scraping together what little he had just to get studio time. Everything changed when his dad gifted him a laptop—sparking a DIY approach that allowed him to teach himself how to record and refine a style now recognised as part of the UK’s new wave of rap.
Now, in 2025, Kairo stands with a sound that’s entirely his own. He dubs it UK New Jazz—a fresh spin on a Hip-Hop subgenre that first emerged in the States—melding off-kilter 808s, leftfield melodies, and a subtle Trap foundation into something experimental, forward-thinking, and distinctively his.
