With his recent project so here you are, drowning receiving great reviews from all over, Kamal.’s fans made sure they came out in full force to show their appreciation for the talented young artist as he took to Islington Academy Hall on Thursday (June 8).

The show started with rising singer dexter in the newsagent interacting with the crowd, making everything fun while making everyone feel a part of her performance.

When it was time for Kamal. to come on the stage, a full band appeared and started playing heavenly music as the north-west Londoner finally walked out to a thunderous ovation. The room was lit up with a disco ball changing colours throughout his set, somewhat reflecting the moods of his different songs.

He performed a mixture of old and new songs, but one thing that remained the same is that he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. From sitting on the stage singing, telling bits of stories behind songs, and piano solos, Kamal. made sure he put on an amazing show for everyone in attendance.

After performing “Nowhere To Hide” and moving over to the keys, the energy shifted in the room. Then he started singing the intro to Dave & Central Cee’s new song “Our 25th Birthday” which he features on and helped Dave produce.

After Kamal finished singing the intro while playing the keys, a presence from the back emerged with a hoodie on, he then started rapping, took the hoodie off, and the crowd went insane as Santan Dave himself made an appearance as a surprise guest for Kamal..

There was a nice moment after they performed together where Dave praised Kamal for his wonderful work on “Our 25th Birthday”. You could see how much it meant to Kamal. to be getting so much love from one of the best and most successful artists in the country.

This night also marked the first time Dave ever performed “Our 25th Birthday” making it not just an unforgettable night for the fans in attendance but for both artists as well.

Through Kamal’s talent, pleasant nature, and work ethic alone, it’s safe to say he’ll be around for a very long time to come.
