Nearly ten years ago, JAY-Z and Kanye West dropped their legendary collaborative album Watch The Throne and it looks like a sequel could be arriving this year.
News of an alleged Watch The Throne 2 album comes from social media personality Justin Laboy, who has become quite close with Kanye in recent weeks.
A social media user tweeted Justin to ask whether we’ll be getting another Watch The Throne project, to which he replied: “Watch The Throne 2 coming end of the year. Kanye & Hov about to make history AGAIN.”
In another tweet afterwards, Justin said: “HOV & YE back building again. They both rich enough to quit rapping, but the passion they share of making the fans happy got them back working.”
In recent years, the relationship between JAY-Z and Kanye West has been turbulent to say the least but back in July during a listening party for Yeezy’s delayed album Donda – which was supposed to drop today – fans were surprised to hear a new collaboration with Hov titled “Jail”.
If Justin’s tweets are anything to go by, it sounds like the pair have continued to reconcile since then and could be ready to bless fans with more collabs in the form of Watch The Throne 2.
