Media personality and former Apprentice candidate Katie Hopkins has been detained in South Africa for allegedly ‘spreading racial hatred’.
Katie Hopkins, who is most infamous for her outlandish and poorly educated statements on Twitter has been detained by South African authorities for an unknown length of time along with per passport which was supposedly marked and confiscated, disabling her from returning to the UK.
In a video she posted on Twitter, she tries to explain the ordeal, saying, “At passport control, I’ve been through security and I’ve been detained, my passport has been marked for spreading racial hatred here in South Africa, for trying to find out and tell the story of white farmers being murdered.”
She also went on to caption the video “Detained at passport control on the orders of the @MYANC. Amazing security co-ordination from a country where police do not respond to white farm murders because they are ‘on lunch break’ #ANC.”
Hopkins has been in the news a lot recently and it was only earlier in her South African voyage that she was pictured collapsed in the streets after taking ketamine, an image in which she shared of herself in the road with authorities beside her.
She later said the use of ketamine was to relieve a shoulder dislocation that she is suffering from whilst she in South Africa to research “the violent, ethnic cleansing of white farmers by armed, black gangs”.
