Katie Price and her son Harvey are often in the headlines for pretty horrible reasons, but she made a faux par on live TV this morning when recalling abuse he’s received online.
The reality star used the N-word twice during her appearance on This Morning, leaving hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in visible shock.
She said, “Is it strong enough to call my son a black blind n***er, is that not abuse? They called him a goll**og, that’s my son, is that acceptable?
“How much do I have to take, so in the end, the people who have said this, I put it online and said, ‘Does anyone know this person?’
“It would be refreshing if these trolls, these online bullies, I’d like one of them to have the balls for me to talk to, or interview them and say, ‘What is that goes through your head, why do you do it?’ Someone has to sit down and take time to do this, what goes through their head?”
While it’s easy to sympathise with Katie Price and Harvey – who suffers from autism amongst other disabilities – she perhaps should have had a bit more consideration for the effects of making such comments on such a big platform.
