The good guys at Billboard released a video of Kendrick Lamar interviewing the living members of the famous rap group N.W.A – Dr Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella.
During their first magazine cover shoot together since 1991, the group sat down with fellow Compton-rapper Kendrick, to talk about the new generation of artists, people’s reaction to their music, balancing the music business with their personal lives and more.
“Ain’t nobody we’d rather have do this interview,” Ice Cube told Kendrick. “Have you seen the movie?” Dre asked.
“Not yet,” Kendrick replied. “Didn’t want to go to a preview and see it in a privileged setting. Would rather wait for it to come to the neighbourhood and see it with everyone else. That way it’ll mean the most to me.”
Just when we thought things couldn’t get anymore exciting!
The group’s biopic, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ is set to be released in UK cinemas in exactly two weeks, on August 28th.
