KFC has re-opened a number of its stores as a takeaway-only service until Britain’s coronavirus lockdown ends.

The fast-food company is serving meals around the country at 11 different branches, however, the restaurant will have a limited menu and will not allow customers to eat in.

On
March 25th, two days after the government ordered all Britons to isolate themselves, the chain shut down all of the shops in the UK.

Among those that reopened are KFCs in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. The company hopes to extend this to other branches if it is deemed safe in the midst of the global pandemic.

Staff in stores and delivery drivers must abide by guidelines on social distancing, including taping the floor to signify a two-meter distance.

A KFC spokesman said: “Over the last week, we’ve reopened 11 of our restaurants in the UK.
They’re open for delivery only and are serving a limited menu, operated by fewer team members with new procedures in place to help ensure we’re following social distancing guidelines. There’s still a need for affordable, accessible food at this time – so we want to do our part.”

KFC may be finger-licking good, but make sure you wash your hands before and after you eat!
