Irish alt-rap artist KhakiKid returns with his first offering of the year, unveiling new single “Favela” while confirming details of his upcoming five-track project, Girl Bites Dog, arriving April 17th. The EP will feature appearances from fellow Irish lyricist Kojaque and Joe Butler.
The announcement follows a landmark, sold-out headline performance at Dublin’s renowned 3Olympia Theatre, a defining achievement that further cements his reputation as one of Ireland’s most compelling emerging voices.
Crafted alongside producers F3miii and Louis Stanley Isaac, Favela bursts with colour and cross-genre flair. The track balances warmth with wit, blending nimble wordplay and a hook built to linger — echoing the appeal of fan favourite Date Nite. Moving fluidly between rap cadences, smooth R&B textures and indie-leaning sonics, KhakiKid once again demonstrates his range, shifting seamlessly from rapid-fire bars to melodic refrains. At the heart of it all lies his commitment to narrative, with vivid storytelling continuing to anchor his sound.
