What has the potential to be the fight of the year has been finally been confirmed and given a date.
Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao are set to go head to head on April 23, according to a tweet from both the boxers.
Manny Pacquiao wrote “Negotiations between team Pacquiao and team Khan have come to terms for the April 23 bout as this is what the fans wanted. #PacquiaoKhan”, while Bolton’s own Amir Khan tweeted “My team an I have agreed terms with Manny Pacquiao and his team for a super fight #pacquiaokhan #April23rd”.
This will be Khan’s first fight in almost a year, his last being his debut as a middleweight contender last May in his fight against Canelo Alvarez. It’s believed that Khan will drop back to the welterweight category for his fight against Pacquiao.
No venue has been announced for the fight yet so watch this space for further updates.
Khan has been making news for reasons other than his boxing career lately when his solo sex tapes were leaked online.
