East London artist Kojey Radical has blessed us with a new offering entitled “Progression Freestyle 1”.
Kojey has established a name for himself in the music industry with his intricate lyricism and unique cadence and both elements are present throughout his newest drop. We’re used to hearing Kojey flowing over smooth productions but on “Progression Freestyle 1”, he takes on a direct, drill-inspired beat – produced by Selecta Suave – while keeping his spitting skills intact.
In the description of the track’s video, Kojey wrote: “Sometimes to move forward you have to go backwards. We are going back to basics in order to bring forward a social commentary in a way that feels organic to the issues that most concern me.
Without any censorship or any of the routine tropes that come with releasing singles. Just raw raps. Grow with me.”
