London singer-songwriter Kwaku Asante returns with his new single “The Real Thing” ahead of upcoming project Blue Solstice: Vol 2.
Produced by multi-platinum producer Fred Cox – who previously worked with Pip Millet and Greentea Peng – thee track finds him at his most open and vulnerable, exploring the complexities of love and searching for that special one. Kwaku looks externally and internally for answers but is confident in knowing his worth and will only settle for “The Real Thing”.
Speaking on the single Kwaku said, “The constant quest for something or someone that is right for me, not just in a romantic sense but also in a platonic sense aswell. Speaking on things regarding paranoia, which I don’t believe can co-exist with “The Real Thing”. I refuse to ignore what I and many other people deserve: a support system of people who care about you. I still acknowledge the current problem in our age to commit and the fear of opening up to someone.”
