The Championship was rocked by unbelievable scenes today as chaos erupted at the Leeds United v Aston Villa fixture.
The Birmingham-based side were left fuming as Mateusz Klich ran through to put Leeds ahead with 71 minutes played. Villa expected Leeds to put the ball out of play with Jonathan Kodjia injured in the opposite half.
An immediate brawl ensued after the controversial goal; Patrick Bamford clashed with Anwar El Ghazi who saw red as Bamford was booked. Dean Smith and John Terry went ballistic on the touchline with Marcelo Bielsa also disappointed with the actions of his players.
Play was stopped for several minutes while the officials tried to restore calm and work through what had happened. Shockingly, Bielsa then told his players to let Villa equalise from the kick-off. Pontus Jansson argued with his manager about this decision before trying to stop Albert Adomah as he ran through. Adomah managed to score and order was restored, resulting in a final score of 1-1.
