This Christmas, JD is celebrating the energy of a new generation with its 2025 campaign “Where Are You Going?”. It’s a film that captures ambition, culture, and community through the eyes of those living it, and LeoStayTrill is one of the faces leading that story. We sat down with the man himself to discuss his thoughts on the campaign and the connection his own journey has with the campaign messaging.
For Leo, featuring in the campaign wasn’t just another shoot; it felt like home.
“What grabbed me straight away was how personal it felt,” he says. “It wasn’t just a campaign; it was an invite to show where you’re from, what shaped you, and where you’re heading. I loved that it gave young people the mic to speak their truth instead of fitting into a script.”
Leo’s story perfectly mirrors the campaign’s message. He’s been building his name step by step, moment by moment, with no shortcuts, just steady motion.
“My whole journey has been about momentum,” he explains. “Where Are You Going? hits home because I’m still moving, still figuring things out, still levelling up. I’m not at the finish line; I’m on the way.”
When asked about his favourite moment on set, Leo doesn’t hesitate.
“Honestly, seeing the whole vision come to life. There was a moment where everything clicked and I thought, ‘Yeah… this is special.’”
The final result captures that authenticity: no filters, no fake smiles, just young people being themselves.
LeoStayTrill’s creativity goes far beyond the studio. He’s part of a wave of artists who view culture as a single, interconnected ecosystem, where music, fashion, visuals, and community all interrelate.
“I’ve never wanted to stay in just one lane,” he says. “What I create isn’t just music; it’s a vibe, a look, a story.”
That blend of sound and style is what’s making him one of the most interesting artists to watch heading into 2026. But as his profile grows, Leo’s keeping his feet on the ground.
“My people keep me grounded, the ones who were around before anything started happening. And remembering why I started. When things get loud, going back to that purpose brings me back to earth.
Inspiration, for Leo, comes from the everyday.
“Real life. Conversations with friends, late-night ideas, seeing other young creatives build their own lanes. Musically, I’m drawn to artists who mix worlds and moods. Outside music, fashion and film are pushing me too.”
When we ask him what he’d say to the next generation of creators coming up, he keeps it simple.
“Don’t wait for permission. Start messy, start small, start broke, just start. The confidence comes from doing, not thinking.”
As for what’s next?
“I’m stepping into a new era — more music, more visuals, more collaborations. I’m building something that feels bigger than just a track or a moment. 2026 is about growth, consistency, and showing people what I can really do.”
The JD Christmas Campaign, “Where Are You Going?” perfectly captures that same energy: a generation moving with purpose, shaping their own paths, and telling their own stories.
