Lewis Hamilton is set to receive a Knighthood following his recent historic F1 title win.

As previously reported by GRM Daily, Lewis won his seventh F1 world title following the Turkish Grand Prix which meant that the racer has become the most decorated F1 driver in history.

Following this, Lewis was also named the most influential black person in the UK on the 2021 Powerlist.

Lewis will now be included on the News Years Honours list and will receive the highest possible honour from the Queen – making him a Sir.

Speaking about the knighthood previously, Lewis said, “I think when I think about that honour, I think about people like my grandad who served in the war, I think about Sir Captain Tom who got knighted and waited a hundred years for that incredible honour.”
