Cash Money OG Birdman says he is retiring from his rap career, in an announcement made on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio on Apple Music.
The entrepreneur and rap legend joined Weezy’s show for the season finale to discuss his career and admitted, “I’m done rapping, rapping ain’t for me no more. I like to make rappers.”
However, he isn’t ready to let go just yet after he hinted that he and Weezy could be joining forces one last time to do a follow up to their 2006 collaborative album, Like Father Like Son.
He told Wayne, “I would like to do a Father Son 2. I want it to be my farewell thing.”
Despite the duo’s differences over the years, they’ve put the past behind them and have definitely got fans excited for a round two of bangers from the rap icons.
