Hype Reacts has served as an undeniably amusing but often ultimately poignant commentary on life since its inception over a year ago. With Lippy acting as the host, his thoughts on a whole host of topics ranging from robberies gone wrong to Arsenal FC have been welcomed. However, he’s arguably not ever had to deal with as serious a topic yet as he has on the most recent episode.
The crisis of inflation has been an inescapable topic over the last few months. As a range of macro and microeconomic factors collide to create a tempest of decline, people have rightfully so been worried about how this will affect them. Lippy dissects the realities of these increases in cost, reminiscing on when KA was 39p – compared to 79p now. “Is there alcohol in there now or something” he jokingly says, but the point remains.
Who knows when this cost of living crisis will get better? One thing we do know for sure is that at the very least we’ve got people like Lippy to make these harsh realities that bit lighter.
