Little Simz has given the visual treatment to her single, “I Love You, I Hate You”.
Serving as one of the standouts from her fourth studio album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, “I Love You, I Hate You” is an emotive offering from Simz who takes on the Inflo-made beat to address her absent father.
The track is filled with a personal tone from start to finish, with Simz giving us lyrics from the heart such as “Never thought my parent would give me my first heartbreak”.
Directed by Jeremy Ngatho Cole, the visuals are as powerful as the song and explore themes such as resentment, pain and neglect; displaying a powerful scene where a father is forced to acknowledge his actions.
