A large anti-lockdown protest in Trafalgar Square saw thousands of demonstrators gather to claim that COVID-19 is a conspiracy.

The protest was led by infamous conspiracy theorist David Icke and was supposed to have an appearance from Piers Corbyn.

The rally saw thousands from across the UK meet under the “Unite For Freedom” rally earlier today. This was despite warnings by the Metropolitan Police that any gatherings of over 30 people could result in a fine up to £10,000.

The attendees displayed signs claiming, “coronavirus is a hoax”, “masks are muzzles”, and “masks increase infection”.

Despite the death toll being over 40,000 in the UK and nearly 850,000 worldwide, the activists still claimed that the government was pushing this narrative and that there was “fake science” involved.

As well as sharing conspiracies, the demonstrators also made it clear they would refuse any government vaccination with one sign saying, “no to mandatory vaccines”.

The rally comes as schools across the country are due to begin again for the 20/21 school year and countries around the world continue to battle with infections and deaths.
