If you’ve been loving all the drama in the current Love Island series then you’ll be happy to know that two editions of the hit show have been confirmed for next year!

In January next year, Love Island’s winter series will return with several contestants heading to a villa in South Africa to find love. The summer series will follow and will be held in Mallorca once again for another eight-week run.

The winter series of Love Island first aired in 2020 where Paige Turley and Finn Tapp were crowned as the winners. However, the winter series was unable to go ahead the following year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

News of the two Love Island series’ in 2022 comes as fans up and down the country have been enjoying a drama-filled season 8.

Love Island has once again proved itself to be the nation’s favourite talking point across the summer, and we’re always blown away by the show’s ongoing impact and talkability amongst our younger audience,” Paul Mortimer, ITV2’s Director of Reality Commissioning and Controller, said.

“So, rather than just serving up a Summer of Love, we thought we’d make 2023 the Year of Love with two full series of the show.”

Mike Spencer, Executive Producer at Lifted Entertainment, added: “After eight brilliant series, we are excited to be serving up two helpings of love in 2023 by kicking off in January at a stunning new villa in South Africa.

“We can look forward to more romances, bromances and everything in between as we embark on another epic year of love.”
