Lowkey has released the visuals to his new track “Long Live Palestine (Part 3)” featuring Frankie Boyle, Maverick Sabre, Ken Loach, Khaled Siddiq and Mai Khalil.
The visuals feature the artists performing the track as they appear at a protest which calls for Palestinians to be freed.
The track is taken from Lowkey new project, Soundtrack to the Struggle 2 which he has released after a lengthy hiatus.
Staying true to his politically aware and socially conscious sound, the London hailing rapper brings us a 20 track long release which explores poverty, terrorism, media representations, racism, xenophobia and several other themes in the lyrics.
In his usual style, Lowkey flows over hard-hitting instrumentals and uses his musical talent to speak on causes he feels strongly about. Political issues such as the European migrant crisis, the Grenfell Tower tragedy and Islamophobia take precedence on this album and Lowkey handles them with the same outspoken nature that he has other social issues on his previous releases.
Soundtrack to the Struggle 2 marks Lowkey’s first full-length project since 2011 which saw the rapper drop the initial Soundtrack to the Struggle album.
