Having been months since his last video release, Loyle Carner is back with highly anticipated track “Ottolenghi”, the name deriving from his love of cooking and the chef/chain Ottolenghi
Loyle Carner enlists the mutli-faceted Jordan Rakei who both produces and features on the song. The beat is laced with soft piano tones and drums which give is a smooth and light hearted feel. The South London born rapper spits over the beat seamlessly whilst reflecting and telling a heartfelt story.
The visuals are intricate and creative and see Loyle on a train in several different scenarios, from laughing with loved ones to sitting by himself and bopping along to the tune. Jordan Rakei appears at intervals throughout – as an enlarged figure in the window, just one of many nutty but interesting parts of the video.
