No, seriously. This week only, you can sack off your Oyster card and pay for your tube journeys with a bottle of Lucozade.
Starting today and until Friday 2nd June, thousands of lucky passengers on the London Underground will receive a special edition bottle of Lucozade with a built in chip, allowing them to swipe the bottle on the Oyster reader and pass through the gates.
“We are excited for Lucozade Energy to be able to launch this new campaign on the Tube,” said Ashleigh Roberts, senior brand manager at Lucozade. “In a city that’s always on the go, we’re giving Londoners an extra opportunity to get where they need to be in a fun and unique way.”
The bottles are being given away at Oxford Circus station so if you’re heading to central, keep an eye out for a weird technological revelation, and a free drink too.
