A Brexit supporter has been jailed after sending racist messages and death threats to MPs.
Jarod Kirkman sent emails with the subject lines “Brexit Traitor” and “Brexit Loser” to seven parliamentarians who had opposed leaving the European Union.
In the violent and racist emails Kirkman sent to MP’s he wrote, “Your days are f***ing numbered bitch”, “Expect it soon”, “F*** off and die in the jungle” and “Death will be swift”.
The unemployed 51-year-old was arrested after sending the messages back in December and January and pleaded guilty to six counts of sending malicious communications at Westminster Magistrates.
Kirkman was sentenced to 42 weeks imprisonment, as well as a five-year restraining order which prevents him from contacting the seven MPs.
