A man travelling from Mexico City has been arrested at New York’s JFK airport after being caught trying to smuggle liquid cocaine in salad dressing bottles.

Andres Josue Leal Valle touched down at JFK airport with three suitcases and one hand luggage containing bottles of olive oil and vinegar. Inside the bottles was the mixture of liquid cocaine with an approximate weight of 5 kg’s (11 pounds).

Agents from the U.S Customs and Border Patrol noticed the bizarre looking liquid inside the bottles upon inspection of his bags.

They took him to a private room and after taking a closer look, they found the liquid to have a very strong smell. Tests later revealed that it was in fact liquid cocaine with an estimated worth of $194,000 (£125,000) which could be one of the most expensive salad dressings in history.
