Serving as the latest single from The Silhouettes Project Volume One – a community based project for those in the arts and entertainment industry – “July” takes us on a lyrical journey. Seamlessly fitting with a solemn, euphoric instrumental courtesy of Midnight Phunk, the poetic bars of Manik MC intertwine with the almost husky vocals of Elisa Imperilee, creating a trance-inducing track.
The humble feelings are extended further with the aid of the video. A simplistic, easy going visual, reminiscent of a significant other. The straightforward nature of the production works in favour of the track, the clarity of the lyrical content showcased in a stylistic, lucid fashion.
