“Betty Butter” is the new summer anthem from rising Nigerian superstar Mayorkun, and he’s teamed up with Nigerian singer, songwriter Davido for the fun and light-hearted track.
For his third single of the year, “Betty Butter” is a feel-good track where Davido’s traditional sound bounces off of Mayorkun’s youthful rhythm. In the fresh, accompanying visuals, Mayorkun and Davido feature in a comical video where they both seem to be besotted with the same young woman who takes them both for a ride.
When speaking on the track, Mayorkun said, “Betty Butter was such a fun track for me to write – I actually took inspiration from a conversation myself and Davido were having about social media, women etc the video just emulates the song perfectly. Super excited to see the reaction from the fans on this one!”
